Lately, I've been feeling like I’m floating in a hallway between two doors—the space just before the dream becomes a reality. You know the feeling: you hold the big, glowing vision in your heart, but you're not there yet. The starting point is a distant memory, but the finish line is still out of sight. Maybe you’ve been feeling it too, like a seedling that has broken through the soil but isn't yet in full bloom, or like the waxing moon, not yet full but still holding immense power. This feeling of being in the in-between is so real, and it’s a space many of us are navigating. This post is for anyone standing in that hallway, waiting for the next door to open. We’re going to reframe this time not as a waiting period, but as the most fertile ground for growth.

The Tension of Becoming
There's a natural tension that comes with the in between. You have the vision of your perfect life—the flow, the peace, the joy—and you contrast it with the reality of the daily grind and those moments of self-doubt. It's the pressure to be productive and to "get sh*t done," even when it feels like the universe is telling you to slow down. It’s okay to feel this tension; you’re not doing it wrong. This is simply a necessary part of the process of becoming. Instead of fighting against it, what if we honored it and found the beauty in the now?
Reframe the In-Between as Sacred Ground
We can find wisdom in nature's rhythms, like the lunar cycle. The waxing moon isn't just a precursor to the full moon; it's a powerful and intentional phase of building and gathering energy. The mind might tell us we're just waiting for the next phase, but moon wisdom teaches us this is a time of refining—preparing for the harvest we want. And we want the absolute best experience we can have, don't we?
I’ve been digging deep into Human Design, and this phase reminds me a lot of my own strategy. As a Projector, my purpose is to wait for an invitation to share my wisdom. In a "go-go-go" world, that can be a struggle, and I often wonder what I'm doing while waiting. Similarly, you might find that your own unique rhythm is about trusting the process and waiting for the right invitation. This isn't a failure to launch—it's a deep gestation, a period where you are growing the roots that will eventually support the entire tree. My Own Journey in the In-Between
I find myself in this place right now. For so long, I believed "success" meant climbing the corporate ladder and getting that coveted high-salaried position. I reached it, and I was deeply unhappy. That led me on a journey of turning inward, learning about chakra healing, lunar cycles, and what it means to live in my unique flow. And despite all this growth, there’s so much more to learn. I daydream about my future life abroad, supporting women and living a soft life, but I’m still building the wisdom I need for a full harvest and learning to feel empowered in my feminine energy in a world so dominated by masculine energy. Sometimes I get frustrated and ask, "Why aren’t I there yet? Haven't I struggled and learned enough?"
As I always say, all feelings are a powerful sign. In this case, this feeling is a sign that you are consciously in the in between and you’re doing the work. This tension is the very thing that led me to create The Love U Collective—to build a space for people like us who are tired of fighting the currents of life.
Wisdom for Your Journey
It’s an act of deep self-care for burnout to honor this stage of your journey. The "in-between" is a place of beautiful expansion, and you deserve to celebrate it. Here are some small rituals you can begin today to honor this time and support your emotional well-being:
-
Journaling with the moon: Track your energy and emotions with the lunar cycle to see how they ebb and flow.
-
Celebrating micro-milestones: Acknowledge every small step forward. Did you take a walk? Read a chapter of a book? That’s growth!
-
Honoring rest as a productive part of growth: Just as a garden needs fallow time, so do you. Rest isn't a luxury; it’s a non-negotiable part of your mindful living practice.
To support yourself through this, I invite you to turn your daily routine into an intentional ritual. Our Love on the Brain collection is designed to open and support the heart chakra (Anahata), the center for love, compassion, and healing. Using our Love on the Brain Body Butter or Body Oil can be a tangible ritual to support yourself through this in-between phase, celebrating the obstacles you’ve already overcome and loving yourself through the process, rather than fighting against the flow.
Glow Intentionally. Live in Your Flow.
The in-between is where we soften, stretch, and prepare to step into who we’re becoming. It is sacred ground where your roots grow deep enough to hold the dream you're growing into.
